What's happening?
Neighborhood Service Organization broke ground on the second phase of its Detroit Healthy Housing Center development in late 2021 after completing a first phase of the project, the Clay Apartments. The $22 million project includes 42 units of permanent supportive housing at the Clay Apartments, already fully occupied, and 56 emergency shelter beds and 17 medical respite beds at the healthy housing center. The center will also offer health and social services for residents and neighbors. Completion is targeted for 2023.
